Out of all English translations available (Stalag, Murphy, Ford, Reynol & Hitchcock), many consider Manheim's translation to be the most precise. However, this does not exist without its flaws.

In this version, there exists an anti-Hitler introduction, unnecessary anti-Hitler footnotes, and purposely mistranslated racial slurs in place of ordinary references to "Negroes". These are implemented in an attempt to make Mein Kampf appear more offensive to the average reader. The desired effect of this: to diminish the validity of Hitler's claims, and to shift the reader's curiosity into hostility. On the contrary, a number of the footnotes, those which lack Manheim's personal opinion, are informative and offer context for the reader.

Others claim that Manheim translated the book to intentionally destroy the meaning of Hitler's words.

There are errors in Manheim's translation, aside from the racial slurs intentionally slipped into the book. Mein Kampf: A Translation Controversy, written by Michael Ford, points to some of these flaws and corrects them. While the book acts as an advertisement for his own translation, Ford still succeeds in amending a majority of Manheim's inaccuracies. The sharpness of Manheim's translation is aided after correcting said blunders, making Hitler's writing easier to decipher.
