It starts with one very serious error. This is Paige’s Equine Error. She signed contracts without really reading or understanding them. Due to her impatience, Paige must spend weeks on a ranch, harnessed and bridled like any other pony. That’s right; she’s an equine girl now. At least she isn't alone on this ranch; there’re other pony girls, handlers, and owners.
On this ranch, everyone outranks her. Paige is just an animal now, an animal with one chance to win back her old life. If she can take first place in a special race, she will return to her normal life. But all of the other pony girls have the same desire. They’ll run hard.
Just as importantly, Paige realizes she’ll be punished if she loses. Her rider is a strict man who will see this girl tamed and eager to please. Sure, she might still thinks of herself as a young professional, the kind of girl who can chat her way through most problems. But that's a lot more difficult when she has a bit strapped in her mouth.
Bound with hoof-boots, leather sleeves, harness, bit, and a tight bridle, Paige can fight as much as she likes because her handlers know how to domesticate her. In the end, every pony needs to be ridden.
